По прогнозам ученых, около 38 процентов людей имеют шансы заболеть раком. Национальный институт здоровья (National Institutes of Health) сообщает, что ежегодно около 6 миллионов человек  в Америке получают диагноз рак. Хотя сегодня в распоряжении медицины есть лекарства, которые позволяют людям бороться с этой болезнью, статистика фиксирует, что треть больных раком умирает в течение первых пяти лет после постановки диагноза.
